Our Story
I'm Irene, I created BellaMoon when I first became a mother because I wanted to solve a real problem experienced by new mothers throughout the world.

I'm Irene, and I’m so glad you're here. Originally from the west of Ireland, I grew up on a small, hard-working farm surrounded by five siblings. Now, I live in a small village in Northern Ireland with my husband and our three little girls.
We love spending time together—until someone throws a tantrum! My husband and I juggle work, school, and hobbies while making the most of family life. On weekends, we love getting outside for a walk, releasing tension, and breathing in the fresh air—while trying to dodge the Irish weather.
The BellaMoon™ office and warehouse are just a mile from our home, where our amazing team puts thought and care into every aspect of what we create.
BellaMoon™ wasn’t something I originally planned to build—it was born from a personal need and the perfect timing. As someone who’s always been active, I struggled to find a way to truly relax, unwind, and ease tension at the end of the day.
With a background in architecture, I used my design skills to create BellaMoon™—a collection of ergonomically designed body pillows that offer the perfect balance of support and style. Every curve is crafted for comfort, while our sophisticated patterns bring beauty into your space. The beautifully unique, sophisticated, and colorful patterns of BellaMoon™ are designed to elevate your home, evoke a sense of calm, and add a touch of elegance to your moments of rest.
BellaMoon™ was born from a simple idea: that true rest should be effortless, elegant, and deeply restorative.
Design
I started designing the products I wanted to see in the world and I did this with an uncompromising approach to sustainability and a meticulous attention to the very finest of details.
As a mother, I want to help protect the world my kids will grow into. That’s why I have consciously created the BellaMoon® range to be super kind to the environment. BellaMoon® has been designed to passed from one Mother to another with our range of replacement covers.
We also purposely delivery our Pregnancy Pillow products vacuum packed in recycled plastic, so we don’t waste everyone’s resources shipping air.
Together with all of our conscious efforts, you can enjoy your BellaMoon® safe in the knowledge that we are taking care of the environment for you.
We take pride in having the highest quality manufacturing processes, particularly during this time of a global pandemic.
BellaMoon is produced in a factory with a dedicated production line containing one automatic cutting line, three automatic sewing lines and an inspection and packing line.
We have taken extra precautions to ensure our products are produced in a clean workshop. Our manufacturer goes above and beyond our needs by producing BellaMoon in a GMP (Good Management Practise) certified factory which meets full compliance for the code for design of a pharmaceutical industry clean room (GB 50457-2008)
On top of this, our manufacturer meets the human ecological requirements for Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX.
They also fulfil the requirements for REACH (colourants, nickel release, lead in baby products) CPSIA, BSCI and GOTS – the highest standard you can achieve.
